Bella Poarch
Bella Poarch's birth Filipino parents welcomed Bella in the Philippines on the 9th of February in 1997. Her adoption took place at the age of three by her grandmother who lived in slums. Her adopted father, a Philippine-American from a military background, is white and American. She claims she, her adopted brother and their mother suffered abuse when they were children, until she joined the military. She and her family moved to Texas when she was thirteen because her father was undergoing bypass surgery. They spent a few days in San Francisco with her aunt. She says the physical violence stopped within a couple of months but that she continued to deal with the psychological abuse her father inflicted on her. When she turned 18 she joined an organization called the United States Navy. Poarch launched her TikTok page in April of 2020. In just 8 months, she'd amassed nearly 40 million followers. The account was home to a variety of videos. But her most enduring hit is a music video featuring MillieB's famous hit track Soph Aspin Send. An edited clip of her synchronized lip-syncing to the melody and jumping in time to it became a viral clip that became TikTok's top-rated video. In order to capitalize on the popularity gained since joining TikTok in December 2016 Poarch launched her YouTube as well as Twitter profiles. Her fame grew to a peak in December of 2020. According to reports Poarch piqued the attention of two top professional Esports teams' interest. 100 Thieves and FaZe Clan expressed interest in having her hired as a content creator under their respective brands.
